The Fisher Space Pen has undergone rigorous testing by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and is actually used by all astronauts.

In a normal ballpoint pen, the ink falls to the tip of the ball due to gravity, but in the Space Pen, the pressure of the nitrogen gas sealed inside moves the ink to the tip of the ballpoint pen. This means that you can start writing immediately even if the pen is upside down, and you can write smoothly even in zero gravity, underwater, and in extreme heat and cold (-34 to +121°C).
In addition, the special highly adhesive ink is sealed, so it will not dry up and can be stored for over 100 years. This heavy duty performance under any condition and its versatility to write on glossy surfaces such as photographs and oil-based surfaces are the features of the Space Pen.
